What's your favorite thing about your job as a school librarian?
I love to introduce students to new books and see them get excited about books and reading!
Name one children's book that you couldn't live without in your library.
That's tough. There are so many wonderful books out there for elementary!
Tell us why you decided to join the Elementary Librarian Community. What's your favorite thing about it?
I had been a high school librarian for most of my career. I just recently became an elementary librarian and wanted some fresh ideas for my students.
What's the biggest challenge you're currently facing when it comes to your school library?
If you could give one piece of advice to a brand new school librarian (or someone considering becoming a school librarian), what would it be?
Being a school librarian is fast paced but never dull. Enjoy every minute and pass on your enthusiasm and love of reading to the next generation.
My biggest challenge is being able to provide enough books that interest all students and reading levels.
