Sharing is an important social skill that helps us build and maintain relationships, it also allows us to become more understanding.
A library is no stranger to this concept. Books (along with other educational tools) are shared to be enjoyed by learners both young and old.
The Little Lego Library is one young boy’s idea-turned-reality, when he had a tiny cabinet attached to a tree filled with tiny Lego people, where other kids can go to swap their pre-loved characters with something from the open collection.
As a parent, I am amazed and inspired to read about youngsters contributing to their community.
As a librarian, I feel proud that libraries (no matter what kind) remain as one of the first few places where sharing is exercised and encouraged.
