What Other People Are Saying

"The Elementary Librarian website has helped me greatly as a first year librarian. I honestly had no idea where to begin in teaching library skills. Here, I discovered Common Core aligned lesson plans and even ideas for library stations/centers. Now I have a lessons and a read aloud for the first day in the library. Thanks for the confidence I need to be successful my first year in the library."

"I had an interview for an elementary librarian position and was very nervous. Searching Google found Elementary Librarian for me. It has wonderful resources that gave me great ideas. I've never been a librarian, but thanks to this website, I am now. I've got the job and now the lesson plans. I feel much less anxious about the enormous task ahead of me because of all the hard work Jocelyn has put into this website and her lessons. Thank you!"

"Last September I started as a new elementary school librarian (I was previously in a high school). I was unsure of how to start and after some searching I stumbled upon your website. I downloaded your lessons immediately and my fears were mitigated. I not only got off to a great start, but the kids and my administrator loved the lessons as well!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to purchase anything else to use these lesson plans?
No, all the resources are included. Some of the lessons use books you already have in your library, so you will need to look at each day's lesson ahead of time to be prepared.
Do you accept school purchase orders?
Absolutely! If you want to use a purchase order, fill out the Purchase Order Form.
Are these lessons different from the ones I purchased last year?
Yes! The lessons have been completely rewritten. There are a few activities that I didn't change, but I'd say about 90% of the material is brand new.
How did you come up with your pricing?
I strive to make my library lesson plans the very best available. I spent hundreds of hours creating lessons and resources so you wouldn't have to. Depending on the package you choose, the final price per lesson plan will be between $1 and $2. It's less than the cost of a daily Starbucks run, and you'll be able to use these lessons for years to come. Think of all the things you could cross off your to do list if you didn't have to write lesson plans!
Could I see a curriculum map and a sample?
Sure! Check out my 2014-2015 curriculum map here. You can find a lesson plan sample here.
Do you have a district discount?
Yes! Please check out my district discount page for more information.
